HERMES: Persistent spectral graph software

چکیده

Persistent homology (PH) is one of the most popular tools in topological data analysis (TDA), while graph theory has had a significant impact on science. Our earlier work introduced persistent spectral (PSG) as unified multiscale paradigm to encompass TDA and geometric analysis. In PSG theory, families Laplacian matrices (PLMs) corresponding various dimensions are constructed via filtration sample given dataset at multiple scales. The harmonic spectra from null spaces PLMs offer same invariants, namely Betti numbers, those provided by PH, non-harmonic give rise additional shape data. this work, we develop an open-source software package, called highly efficient robust multidimensional evolutionary (HERMES), enable broad applications PSGs science, engineering, technology. To ensure reliability robustness HERMES, have validated with simple shapes complex datasets three-dimensional (3D) protein structures. We found that smallest non-zero eigenvalues very sensitive abnormality.

HerMES: spectral energy distributions of submillimeter

We present a study of the infrared properties for a sample of seven spectroscopically confirmed submillimeter galaxies (SMGs) at z > 4.0. By combining ground-based near-infrared, Spitzer IRAC and MIPS, Herschel SPIRE, and ground-based submillimeter/millimeter photometry, we construct their spectral energy distributions (SEDs) and a composite model to fit the SEDs. The model includes a stellar e...

Clustering Object-Oriented Software Systems using Spectral Graph Partitioning

In this paper we propose a novel method for identifying dense communities of classes (clusters) within an object-oriented software system. These clusters suggest the decomposition of the software system into smaller subsystems. Also, such clusters can imply relevance of functionality and thus be used as reusable components. To accomplish the identification we employ a technique from algebraic g...

Hermes: Dynamic Partitioning for Distributed Social Network Graph Databases

Social networks are large graphs that require multiple graph database servers to store and manage them. Each database server hosts a graph partition with the objectives of balancing server loads, reducing remote traversals (edge-cuts), and adapting the partitioning to changes in the structure of the graph in the face of changing workloads. To achieve these objectives, a dynamic repartitioning a...

Hermes--A Lean M-commerce Software Platform Utilizing Electronic Signatures

The world-wide growth of the mobile-telephony market opens the door for mobile commerce (m-commerce). For the restricted target platforms used for m-commerce such as mobile phones or personal digital assistants, domain solutions need to be lean but still secure. Especially mobile contracting and mobile payment as parts of m-commerce require solutions resting upon a sound legal basis. Electronic...

Spectral graph theory

With every graph (or digraph) one can associate several different matrices. We have already seen the vertex-edge incidence matrix, the Laplacian and the adjacency matrix of a graph. Here we shall concentrate mainly on the adjacency matrix of (undirected) graphs, and also discuss briefly the Laplacian. We shall show that spectral properies (the eigenvalues and eigenvectors) of these matrices pro...
